How long have you been in business?
Since June 2006.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a brewpub. A brewpub is generally a family style restaurant and brewery all in one. We have fresh bistro style food including all kinds of entrees, burgers, lunch specials and a special Sunday brunch. We sell our beer for retail too!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am a homebrewer since 1991. My background however, is in software and biology. I was an engineer for 17 years before starting the restaurant. Our establishment is very active in the community and we are a very busy place. We have live music including the area's only Blues venue on Monday nights, which we call Blue Monday. Our Sunday brunch features live jazz too!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We make our own beer. Our menu uses primarily fresh ingredients which are prepared to order. We have a lot of live music. We have a 200 person seating capacity and we have an outdoor deck. Our signature event is the Oktoberfest celebration "Party in the Street" which brings in over 3,000 people and lasts all day the last Saturday in September. We also feature a beer breakfast and solstice party on the Saturday closest to the solstice. Beer for breakfast anyone?
