How long have you been in business?
Since 1981, we have been aiding owners of all sized businesses with the appraisal and sale of their companies.
What is your primary product or service?
Business brokerage, business appraisals, litigation support expert testimony, mergers & acquisitions.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Past owner of 16 different companies. Used another brokerage to sell 2 businesses in the late 1970's and felt there was a better way to confidentially sell privately owned companies. Started G&C in 1981. Added Central Business Brokers in early 2000's to better serve main street clients while George & Company concentrates on middle market investment banking.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the longest established business brokerage and appraisal firm east of the Mississippi. Board certified by the International Business Brokers Assoc. and Life Members of the Institute of Business Appraisers. Honest, hard working and knowledgeable.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
5 - Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Nashua, NH, Ft. Myers, FL and NYC. We will be opening a Southern RI office shortly.
